Course Overview
Course Description
LendingLab: Small Business provides a basic understanding of small business lending principals, processes and products.
The course helps participants understand the similarities and differences inherent in the small business decision space including how to define small businesses for your financial institution, how to apply P&L metrics appropriately, how risk can best be identified, and how to leverage knowledge gained from other disciplines while adapting that knowledge to small business.

Explain what a small business is, what the ideal small business customer looks like, and what products or services can be offered to maximize profit.
CONNECT
Connect the dots from corporate level risk appetite and loss metrics through small business underwriting and portfolio management strategies to P&L.
ADAPT
Adapt best practices from the retail and commercial banks to the small business market including lifecycle decisioning, fraud and risk mitigation, underwriting principals, product and pricing assignments.
NETWORK
Network with participants across your organization through the team structure to understand their functions and how they can help the organization reach its business goals.
